Is helping strangers a good idea?

should we always help other people who are in trouble?

One taxi driver tried to hlep others but paid a price. He stopped runaway buses and robberies. He was injured and nearly killed when the bus hit his car.

Its always a good idea to help a fellow human in need. if the role was reversed. would you want that person to help you. Remember the story of the good samaritan. and always ask yourself. What would Jesus do. A good deed never gos unpunished. that means it is rewarded. By God.

As the cynical saying goes, "No good deed goes unpunished." (which goes with what you were saying)

But in all honesty, it's a good idea to help strangers but always, and I have to stress this ALWAYS approach with caution. For example, Ted Bundy use to prey on people who's weakness it was to help strangers.

From my experiences don't help strangers but if you do be cautious.  It's ok to jump start someone's car but don't ever give someone a ride.

It's always nice to help in some way. You don't have to "go all out." Helping strangers can be something as small as just  calling the police. It's not very smart to try and stop things like robberies on your own without protection.
