Question:

Is her development normal?

My daughter is 7 months old and still cannot sit or crawl. She can roll quite well and will roll around to get what she wants. When i sit her on the floor she slumps forward straight away. Should i be trying to encourage her to sit more or should i just leave her to do it in her own time? She also doesn't have any teeth yet, no sign at all of any coming. She is my 2nd child but i'm sure my 1st was doing this by now. Is this normal or should i have her checked out by the health visitor? Thanks.

  1. your baby girl is fine , all babies are all very different , just enjoy her she will come on leaps and bounds in no time :)

  2. Normally they are sitting up pretty good by then. Most babies will start to crawl but some figure out its easier to roll to where they want to go and just do that. I would try to encourage her to sit up better. If you can't, then maybe have her checked. Every baby is different.

  3. Thats normal my 8th month old sister just mastered sitting, is far from crawling and has no teeth.

  4. I mean, all children do things at different

times, but I would still recommend taking her

    to a doc. ♥

    Hope all is well.

  5. I think it's a bit delayed, you should contact your doctor. Make sure she has plenty of time on the floor and help her exercise to develop muscle, just like doing crawling motions with her legs as she lays on her back. I wouldn't worry too much, once she starts crawling you will probably only have a month before she starts running and climbing.

  6. My daughter didn't crawl until she was 9 months and now there's no stopping her!  I'm sure your daughter is fine - in a couple of months you won't be able to keep up with her.

  7. If your worried have her checked by the health visitor.

It may be that she's just a late developer.

  8. the important thing to remember is that all babies are different and they do things in there own time. i would encourage her try leaving her on the floor for at least an hour a day and putting toys out of her reach so she has to roll if she wants them that bad believe me she will get em! and as for sitting up just prop her up with some cushions and playwith her for an hour a day. this should encourage her but if not discuss it with the doctor at her 6-9 month check!

  9. i would hve her checked out just in case something i wronge with her

  10. All babies are different and have different times of development. i.e my 2 nieces one is 2 the other 1. The 2yr old starting crawling at 6 months and the 1 yr old didn't until she was 11 months. You have nothing to worry about.
