  1. No!! But this years was disgusting as the AFL choose the theme. It was great to see Lions in the old Fitzroy, Port back in the black and white....but the Eagles?? What the....

  2. I think its great to see teams going back to the past and history of the club. Most followers wouldn't know their clubs colours from the past and this helps to premote and gets the younger generation to know a little more about their club.

  3. nah heritage round is sweet. all the old jumpers and stuff is awesome!  but ya know what i reckon would make heritage round even better? say the afl makes it "70s" heritage round, not only do the teams have to play in 70s jumpers, they have to play to 70s rules too. so none of that hands in the back c**p that is ruining our game, and no young whipper snappers who dont weigh anything playing, see half of hawthorns team! lets take it back to when afl was played by real man and u actually had to be man enough to shave daily to play.

  4. The only thing that is bad for our game is all the rule changes. There is a saying and it's been around for a long time,if it's not broken don't fix it.It seem that someone has forgotten to tell the AFL commission this. The game is to soft and its been corrupted by all these do goodies in the press. I don't want to see guys ripping each others heads of out there but i would like to see the players being allowed to show some emotion and passion on the field. Its not the game that drawers us to the stadiums its the passion that supporters have for their clubs. Without passion the game is lost.

  5. Not at all. It would amke a few people aware and look into some history of the club they support, the gurnseys the players ans umpires used to wear in the 70's. Its a fun round but also educational and good to see the players were something different!

  6. No must always remember where the club has come from... honour that

  7. Really it doesn't bother me too much.

I like to see the players in different uniforms. As part of the young generation I couldn't care less about their history. I just think that at least we can make fun of or enjoy the clubs' guernseys. I dont think its such a big issue. Just an excuse to change the uniform and have a few flash back clips before the games.

  8. i dont have a problem with it

  9. No, I think it's a really good thing.

  10. I dont think so, but thats just me

I like to see them run out in their old style team jerseys, it doesnt change anything regards who is playing or their skill levels but make it a little nostalgic

    cheers

  11. i reckon its good, but its getting a bit tired and gimmicky

They should stop playing round with it and just establish a tradition, there's only so many decades they can theme for heritage round.

Its a good fun idea that mixes it up and its a good thing for the game, but they are going a bit off track with it i think. Also, whats with selfish Collingwood and refusing to let port use the black and white in the past???

  12. How could it be bad for the game?

It gets people who wouldn't normally give a toss to look back at how the game got to where it is.  Even if it is just looking at the jumpers at least there is still a little bit of benefit.  Its good for the clubs if you ask me.

  13. Definantly not.

The best thing is for one game a year the goal umpires where coats and big hats and field umpires where white it is how it should be.
