3 ANSWERS

  1. YES

  2. using a receiver, stereo being decoded by dolby pro-logicll

will give the simulated effect of 5.1 but it is not true discrete 5.1. only a digital signal decoded properly by using a blue-ray,dvd or hdtv to receiver connected by analog/optical cable can do this

  3. High fidelity cd and dvd replications will play in the respective formats as their master. e.g if you burn the new John Rambo to a dvd backup it will have Dolby 5.1, 7.1 and 2.1 still available.
