Is high gas prices due to just suppy and demand?

I would suspect that wars in the middle east would be part of it.  But, it is important to know that wars are partially a part of supply and demand.  When war breaks out, oil wells could be destroyed, for instance, lowering supply and raising price.  But, prices are always supply and demand..to a point.  For instance, rent control and min. wage are example of when the price isn't determined solely on supply and demand.  But, price controls, being rare, it should be said that supply and demand do determine prices.  It's just that many things effect supply and demand.
