  2. it used to be. Unfortunately, some business decisions have brought them way down.

  3. It's OK...it's priced like a first tier brand but it's really second tier.

    This site has a great service where you can put in what you want to buy, how much you want to pay, and they will shop around to find you the best deal.  Be as specific as possible with your request and you'll get better results.

  4. Kind of second tier. Look at the 3/08 Consumer Reports HDTV article.

    In Plasma displays, only an idiot would buy anything other than Panasonic Viera or Pioneer (overpriced?).

    In LCDs, best in both performance and reliability in this order: Sony Bravia; Panasonic Viera (26", 32", and 37" only);  Toshiba Regza; Sharp Aquos; Samsung; LG. If you can't afford one of these relatively high quality HDTVs, I'd suggest you wait until you can.
