  1. High intensity training is only good if you want to build huge bulk fast. This will not get rid of the fat as the muscles you build will form UNDER the fat.

Also, you need to have a good capacity of endurance, and be generally fit, as H.I.T's are very dangerous.

That being said, running is the best way to burn overall fat and build endurance.

I suggest to run the fat off, and than concentrate on H.I.T's (but you still have to run, to keep your metabolism and endurance working).

    Good luck!

  2. well the point of hiit training is to not loose muscle mass. So... if you want to lose weight overall, long distance.

  3. HITT is really meant for people that are looking to burn fat while maintaining what muscle they have built.  Long distance running (LSD), if done correctly, is more effective at losing weight.  A lot of people benefit more from walking briskly.

The best way to burn fat is to engage in an activity that maintains your heart rate to 60-70% of your max heart rate.  Your max heart rate is generally calculated by taking 220 - Your Age.  So if you are 20 years old, your max heart rate is 200 and your should be aiming for a heart rate of 120-140 for burning fat.  This is easier for most people to maintain with walking instead of running.

HITT isn't really a new thing.  People have been interval training for years and years.  It is really more of a thing for people that are already fit that want to get some cardio work in while not compromising lean muscle mass.

Bottom line, if you're looking to lose weight, walking/jogging will be the best course of action until you are fit and your needs change.

  4. The best way to lose weight is to burn more calories than you consume.

Eat healthy, exercise and you will weight what you should weigh.

It doesn't matter how  you exercise you can always eat more calories than you burn.

They best weight management is to control your lifestyle.
