Is hockey cardio?

  1. hockey is definately cardio. Its like sprinting but with a h**l of a lot of turns and stops and stickwork. great cardio.

  3. I guess it depends on the effort you put into it. Assuming you're out there to win, it's very aerobic and it's very physical requiring both strength and stamina.

    runnings probably slightly better for you but on the other hand, hockey players have very good stamina and are very physically fit.

  6. It is a great cardio workout, but only if you work at it.  I bust my back and i am out of breathe very quickly.  I would say that it is better than running, just because it seems like you get tired faster from skating than running.  Either one is good cardio though.

  9. Any physical activity is cardio. s*x is cardio. (Always use rubber.) Skating is a type of cardio that's easier on the knees though. That's how Yzerman had such longevity but had quite a few knee problems. If he played any other sport, he would've been finished ages ago.
