I'm on a "diet" well i wanna lose 100 pounds and it's only the second day of eating healthy and exercising and today for dinner my mom is making homemade pizza.

She buy the dough at the store. On my pizza i like lots of cheese, peperoni (but i don't have to have it on my pizza if it isn't healthy), green peepers and sliced tomatoes.

Can i eat it or should i not. I will (if i have it) eat 2 slices. So can i eat it?

  1. pizza is healthy.  it is also fattening.  eat vegan pizza if you want to lose weight.  better yet, eat vegan everything if you are serious about losing weight.  or make your own dinner or eat just a slice and have a salad and exericse after.

  2. Hi, I've lost a lot of weight with the help of fitness pal - http://www.fitnesspal.com - it counts calories and tracks your exercise. Its a great tool so please have a look.

As for your pizza, it really depends on the base, and you can enter your ingredients here - http://recipes.sparkpeople.com/recipe-ca... - and it will calculate the calories in homemade meals. You can then add your pizza and its nutritional info into fitness pal (which is free btw) and just add it to your daily meal tracker if you decide to have it again. Your pizza sounds good, maybe drop pepperoni but once in a while is cool.

More about fittness pal, there are forums and people from all over trying to lose weight, they are very supportive and knowledgeable so you can ask them alsorts. Good luck with the weight loss!

  3. 2 pieces should be fine and you could have a salad and fruit too. The cheese and pepperoni have salt but it is still in a balanced diet as the cheese and pepperoni have fat and the cheese has dairy too. I like cheese, pepperoni and lots of veggies on mine. Good luck.

  4. it can be healthy depending on what you put on it.

i would skip the pepperoni and not add too much cheese, but the tomatos and green peppers are good.

to make it even more healthy, try it on a whole wheat pita. it tastes really good and its better for you than regular dough.

  5. not with loads of cheese an dpepperoni

  6. Two slices of the dough can be fine. It's the stuff we pile onto it that is questionable. Pick your toppings wisely and pizza can make a delicious occasional, addition to your eating regimen.

  7. Im pretty sure it's much healthier then having pizza out. It's less greasier. I would skip the pepperoni. Green peppers and onions go really well together. Satisfy your cravings in moderation and exercise is key to losing weight. Good luck!!

  8. Have one piece and a green salad with it. Eat the salad first to fill up! Your mom could by fat free cheese or reduced fat cheese. There is pepperoni that is low fat too if you want the flavor with out the fat. Drink at least 8 glasses of water a day. Good luck to you. Oh, fat free ricotta is delicious on pzza.

  9. Definitely. Have a salad along with it. No pepperoni, it's full of fat and sodium! I know you said you like a lot of cheese, but i would go light on the cheese and heavy on the peppers and tomatoes.

    Good Luck!

  10. It sure can be healthy - however - skip the pepperoni b/c of all the added salt which will bloat you tremendously - the peppers and tomatoes are awesome on pizza - rock on!

  11. Leave out the pepperoni and the cheese..too much oils

    healthy a nonsense word

what is healthy for me is surely not healthy for you

IT becomes Too nutritious for you

stick to the pasta and the veggies 2 is fine

  12. forgo the pepperoni and use part skim mozzarella and you should be fine. Also, if you really wanna make it healthy use a whole wheat crust.
