I am in 7th grade and doing really bad in school. I want to be cyberschooled so i can do better grade wise. My grandparents are retired and i can stay with them during the day and work on the things that need to be done. My mom isnt so crazy about it and im not sure about my dad. I wont have to worry about attendence either because i miss alot of school days. I hate having to deal with friends and other girls making fun of me and teachers being so rude towards me. I think i would do really good in cyberschool plus it is free so my mom doesnt have to worry about fees , cuz mom & dad are divorced.

  1. Homeschooling CAN be much better, and usually is.  Of course it does depend on how much effort you are willing to put into it.

  2. home schooling would probally better .

why havent you stood up to those people and showed them whos boss . get a group together and talk to them bullys.why dont you tell them that the way their acting is so childish and immature .when it comes down to it those girls are probally just chickens . i know a girl that looks like she could beat everyone up ,and she threatens to beat people up but when it comes down to fighting people she is too scared

  3. I'm kind of in the same sitch, except I am training in ballet. I'm even in the same grade!!! Someone put a great answer to my "I need to convince my parents question". I might try those tactics.  Wish me luck!

(Good luck to yourself :) )

  4. no dont do it you will have no friends and have to much time on your hand and you will go crazy

  5. I think if you apply yourself to gaining knowledge, you would flourish at home-school. It doesn't have to be online either. You might enjoy the curriculum found at: http://www.oldfashionededucation.com/

(This goes over what the curriculum is about.)

I am sorry you are having a rough time in public school. It's not a fun place most times nowadays. The cool thing about homeschooling is that there are generally fewer kids in the classroom (there are some large families that do it though!) and so the teacher/parent has a lot more interaction with each student than in private or public school - that leads me to what I am about to say... make sure you have an adult on board with you for helping you out. If your Mom works and you are spending a lot of your day at your grandparents, are they willing to help you out with things if you get a little stuck? Are they willing to take a few trips to the nearest public library with you? Make sure, because for the most part, at your age, kids can teach themselves... but you also need educational/emotional guidance and direction.

Also, don't allow yourself to see home-school as an "easier" way to learn, because though it can be done more efficiently than public/private schooling, it still takes a lot of hard work, focus and determination from everyone involved. :D

  6. It seriously sound to me as if your being bulied. Have you discussed this with anyone?

Do this first , see if it makes a difference and no I dont think cyberschool is great theres is just no alternative to teaching with a person who is there on front of you.

  7. for you it sounds better
