  1. No it is not !!

Horse meat can not be deep frozen ,, It does not freeze well.

It hard for people to understand certain things about horses

If you have Not been there and done that ..well then how can you have a opinion on it !!!

    Right ""

Except for your personal feeling''s and love for horses  and NOT TRULY HAVE DONE IT .,

Now, I do not want people to think I do not love horses,

    I do with my soul,& heart ..

Good or bad I have eaten horse meat,,

I have been in many 3rd world country's

  2. no it's actually pretty lean.

  3. Yizzle,

People in different cultures in different countries have been eating horse meat for thousands of years.   Technically speaking it's not different than beef on all the aspects that count - healthwise.  However - where horses differ from beef is that they are far more useful alive than dead.

I'm disregarding cultural norms here that would turn people off.  I would never eat dog, but I'll eat cow.   Hindus would never eat cow, but they might eat dog.  Some Asian countries - protein is protein, and they relish scorpions on a stick, bugs, worms, and all kinds of things.  It's actually fairly interesting.

By the way - I'm disregarding any extremely minor variations, such as fat content.  Venison (deermeat) and fish are probably the healthiest meats if you are going to be a carnivore/omnivore ( in other words - aren't a vegitarian).

  4. Douth it but it sickens me to think of eating a horse =[

  5. cook it like a steak, medium rare, with all the garnishes and you would be looking for more.

  6. Horse meat is not bad for people UNLESS the horse has received wormers, vaccinations, and other drugs.  Some of these drugs take up to two years to disappear from the horse's body, and a concentration that may not have hurt him may be very bad for a human.

So...  in general, no, but the meat of any horse in the US must be considered suspect.

And yes...  I've had it.  In Europe, a long time ago.

  7. I have heard of cultures that eat it. While it probably isn't particularly harmful I really doubt most people in American or European culture would feel too comfortable eating horses

  8. Not sure about people; but it is absolutely bad for horses.
