Is horse racing in the olympics?

  1. Horse racing is not a part of the olympics.  However, there are equestrian events.  Eventing, which combines dressage, cross country jumping (which contains several aspects in and of itself) and stadium jumping.  There are also competitions for teams and individuals in dressage and stadium jumping.  These competions are generally done at a slightly higher level than you see in the eventing versions of them as they concentrate on a single sport, eventing, which combines the three asks for more and less at the same time, more since the horses and riders must compete in all three events but less in that they are not asked to ride the same tests that dressage riders are and are not asked to jump as high or as technical a course as the jumpers.

  5. It should be because I would rather bet on an 8 horse field than an 8 person field when only one has a chance.

    Dont know any of the Women participating this year but Pat   Smythe and Brigitte Schockaert (Belgium) were the first two and there has also been Virginia Rolton of Australia
