Question:

Is hot skin a sign of too little sleep?

This seems like an odd question to ask, I know. When I've not gotten enough sleep, whether due to insomnia or self-inflicted, my cheeks tend to get hot and flushed. I have a little guy (11 months) in my care who seems exhausted (rubbing his eyes, sleeping often, but only for a few minutes at a time), and his skin is hot to the touch. He doesn't have a fever - I've checked. It is 37.1 degrees, which is normal. Moms, can you help me out?

  1. Go to the doctor, you don't want to risk anything because it sounds a little weird to me...Otherwise, is your baby hot? As in temperature it-so-hot here hot? Make sure he is nice and cool..warm but not op pressingly warm because you think he will be too cold in the night.

  2. I know that our little one sleeps more than anything and she is really warm like what you are saying.  I think it is just part of their growth, but ask a doctor to be safe.
