  1. Its just barely in Paris. Its in the 18th arrondissement. All the arrondissements of Paris are in either zone 1 or zone 2 for purposes of the public transport system.

As I've told you before, arrondissements 1-6 constitute "central " Paris. ther last two digits of the postal code give you the arrondissement. This place is in 75018 and is therefore in the 18th arr.

EDIT: To make it clearer...the distance from this hotel to Notre Dame is about 5 miles as the crow flies.

  2. Bonjour !

Porte de Saint-Ouen is a station of the Paris Métro.

It is named after the Porte de Saint-Ouen,

a gate in the 19th century wall of Paris.

Saint-Ouen is a commune of the Seine-Saint-Denis located in the northern suburbs of Paris, France. This Francilienne town is located 6.6 km (4.1 miles) from the center of Paris.

Saint-Ouen is home to Paris's flea market, the most important concentration of antique dealers and second-hand furniture dealers in the world.

The flea market (marché aux puces) is held every Saturday, Sunday, and Monday; because of this high frequency, compared to other flea markets, it has for a long time consisted only of professionals renting their spot for a minimum term of three years.

Saint-Ouen also includes the Cimetière de Saint-Ouen, a Roman Catholic cemetery associated with Joan of Arc.

  3. it is very close, almost in the centre itself.
