  1. Pride is concerned with who is right.

Humility is concerned with what is right.

  2. Flora gives a very good answer. Pride is the opposite of humility and it gets in the way of any person, no matter what they believe. It requires faith in self, where as religion requires a faith in something else.

  3. I fear anyone that proclaims their belief with certainty. These people can do terrible things in the name of their belief (secular beliefs included).

Doubt is the only true faith.

  4. Humility in the company of the good is a virtue. Bowing or tolerance of the rabble seeking to subvert the cause of love and peace is not humility but weakness. It is a poor comparison to compare the discipline and strength of religiosity with the plague like infestation that atheism is.

A certainty in the existence of Absolute Truth, Love and Peace that is God drives man toward his ultimate goal.  A lack of faith creates openings for disillusionment and the discontent and division they breed.

Humility is a noble virtue amongst the virtuous. Atheists cannot utilise this attribute as their invasive pestering and heckling in RS is deserves the wrath and vengeance it so rightly warrants.

  5. humbility is important to religious atheists or faith believers because proclaiming everythings will advantage to truths especially atheists certainty with swalling hard , long truths because they like behind always

  6. There is no certainty in this life.

We have built into us an instinct which makes us want to strut our feathers like a peacocke. Unfortunately when that strutting gets out of hand it leads to world wars, so keeping the strutting in check is what humility is about. To put it another way, it is about self-honesty.

  7. exactly the opposite; you need the arrogance to believe you are an act of special creation, that you are saved, that you have a relationship with a Deity, etc etc!

  8. I could imagine humanity without religion, I couldn't imagine religion without humanity.  As for if or how we should proclaim anything, those are kind of subjective...

  9. I think it is important to believe what you believe with certainty, to be all right inside yourself. But I do not think it is right to proclaim it.

  10. Of course, Islam teaches that the sign of a true believer is humility.
