Is hurricane Bertha going to hit New Jersey?

I live in NJ and by the looks of it, Bertha looks like it's coming towards us.

  1. very unlikely at this time. looks like its heading towards you, but it recurve and fall slightly east of bermuda.

    dont worry athough nothing is 100% in weather, but its about 95% that it WONT hit NJ or the east coast of the USA


  2. Bertha is DEFINETELY not hitting New Jersey. It will be lucky to hit bermuda.  It is going to curve at bermuda and head back out to see.

  3. Probably not, the storm is forecast to re-curve, that is, start turning back to the east, before it gets anywhere near New Jersey.  Also, I think it would encounter cold water and weaken before it gets there, at least according to this picture http://www.ssd.noaa.gov/PS/TROP/DATA/RT/...
