  1. It is the best rocket fuel. That is when U burn it with liquid oxygen. To burn it with air will produce much too much NO2.


  2. No, kerosene is.   Otherwise they would be using hydrogen instead of kerosene.

  3. It would produce the most environmentally benign exhaust gasses.  Unfortunately it is incredibly difficult to compress H2 to a high enough density that an airplane wouldn't essentially be a flying gas tank.  Until a high pressure lightweight storage system is invented cleaner higher BTU fuels and flying lower and slower would increase efficiency greatly in the meantime.
