ok so im 15 years old a sophmore this year in highschool and im 6ft, 183pds. i play hockey, lacrosse, and football and i am close to have i have an chance to go pro. so recently i have considered hypoxic training due to the gains and benefits that are obtainable through hypoxic training but i have been worrying about the consequences. i am aware of the mental effect that it will have on me since there is a very low oxygen going to my brain. and since i am a highschool student i can't just mess with my brain like that. BUT i have been told that if i eat more zinc and folic acid i should be fine so my question is.. is hypoxic training safe for me?, if i do take zinc and folic acid will it remove some of the side effects and are the mental effects permanent or do they only last for the first week or 2 while my body is adjusting to the low oxygen levels? thanks in advance

  1. I don't know that much about it, but based on what you've said, it doesn't sound very safe to me.

What would having less oxygen going to your brain possibly accomplish?
