Is iMovie better than Windows Movie Maker?

I use Windows movie maker to edit videos that I make for youtube. I find that it really sucks. I might be getting a Macbook soon and I was wondering if iMovie is a better video editor than Windows movie maker.

The latest offering from mac - iMovie 08 is pretty poor, no better in fact in some respects worse than WMM. No special effects etc. The only good thing is the easy uploading to Youtube. As long as you do not want to do anything creative, just trim and edit, it's very simple and fast.

However, you can still get the previous version iMovie HD 06 which is a far superior tool.

I movie is better when you get it there is a button that says share. you can click that then it goes directly to youtube
