Is iT ok to get a puppy and a kitten?

Hii... I was wondering if it was ok to get a puppy and a kitten so my kitten wouldnt be lonely and they could grow up together. But im not sure if they would get along, would the puppy chase the kitten or injure it?

My friend got a kitten and introduced it to her adult dog - and the dog loves the kitten.  They play together and will lie down together, it's adorable.  

Having both a puppy and a kitten is even better, because they will be even more comfortable with each other, and you don't risk introducing a kitten to an adult dog that might be less than friendly.  Cats and dogs can easily get along under the right circumstances, so I would say definitely get both the puppy and kitten.  They will be great companions for each other.

That should be fine. When they grow up together they lean how rough they can be on one another. It might help if you got a smaller dog breed, but either way it should be fine.

You can have a puppy and a kitten together they would make great friends but you have to remember you have to let them meet when they are still very small so that they can be used to being around each other.

I used to have a dog and a cat they were the best of friends i have ever seen from all the pets i had they were the greatest of friends.

It is fine for a puppy and a kitten to bond! It's acutally the perfect thing to do! Knowing eachother for both of their lives will instill a strong bond and you should do it!

The  things you need to look out for,  for a while about the puppy, make sure it's a tiny puppy so it doesn't squash the kitten! The puppy also needs to be young enough so that it can't hurt the kitten by play fighting.  Oh, yea, play fighting needs to be watched too, A mean, A kitten is really frail so that puppy (Depending on it's side) doesn't maul it not meaning to.  You only need to watch the play fighting until the 'teething stage' stops.  But still check the kitten and puppy for nips afterward.

Um well i have lots of animals but not a cat. All my friends have one though. Um i think you should get a dog. They will be fine! My BFF has a dog and a cat and they LOVE each other. they sleep with each other and allways l**k each other. It may take a few days for them to like each other but surly they will be fine.
