Question:

Is iTunes faster on a macbook than on a pc

I compared iTunes performance

PC:

2 Ghz Intel Centrino Duo

2GB RAM

macbook:

2.4 Ghz Processor

2GB RAM

I understand that the macbook has a faster processor, but it seemed that iTunes ran so much smoother on it that i think iTunes was built specifically for the macbook's architecture and sloppily translated for PC/Windows. Any experts know what makes it faster on a macbook? is the coding (software) in iTunes for Windows inefficient OR do macbook processors (hardware) are better suited for iTunes?

  1. macs dont save on the hard drive like pc. to gather the info on a pc it needs to go all the way into its hard drive and find the folder then the exe and such

macs are a bit more efficient in the sense that everything is right there.
