Is if fair to blame Alicia Sacramone for the U.S. Women's Gymnastics for taking silver?

After US women's gymnastics took silver, a lot of my friends began blaming Alicia Sacramone for losing the gold to China and making jokes such as kicking her off the U.S. team. I really think it is unfair to blame Sacramone for the loss especially if you don't do Gymastics, so they have no right to criticize something they can't even do themselves. I believe the only people who can blame Sacramone are herself and anyone who can do her stuff better than her. Besides, she has an impressive track record in gymnastics so if anyone can do better, then go ahead and criticize her. So what is your opinon on blaming Sacramone for U.S. losing the gold medal?

Ask your friends, are they in the Olympics? The girl made one mistake and i highly doubt that the U.S. would hold the gold. I also doubt that china would mess up the would have caught up any way it isn't her fault.

It is COMPLETELY unfair to blame her.  There was a lot of pressure on her shoulders.

The Chinese were quite far in the lead towards the end and if Alicia hadn't  fallen on beam and floor I still believe they would have kept the gold.

They have absolutely no room to blame her.  After all, what did they do to help the US team?  Nothing.

i agree with u, she said herself that everyone has their good days and their bad days and she just wishes that that day was a good day but it wasn't, so i think the only person who can blame her is herself! and they did so well all around anyways :]

she wasnt the only one who messed up, 3 other girl stepped out of bounce on the floor, and just the USA team wasnt messing up, ofcourse my baby Alicia is gonna take the blame, she's the capitan and she's the oldest

I AM SURE THEY PICKED THE BEST OF THE BEST BUT SHE DID MAKE SOME MISTAKES, JUST AS ANYONE COULD HAVE. SHE PROBABLY IS INCREDIBLE GYMNAST BUT SHE APPARENTLY GOT  WAY TOO NERVOUS THIS TIME, IT IS STILL TOO EARLY TO SAY SHE IS DISQUALIFIED FOR THIS. PLUS IT IS NOT SO MUCH ABOUT GETTING GOLD MEDAL ONLY. THEY TRIED THEIR BEST AND RESULTED A SILVER WHICH IS STILL HONORABLE.
