to espouse democratic government in Iraq & Afghanistan yet mourn the toppling of a military dictator in Musharraf by democratic means

  1. For the ninety-eleventh time - these wars were NEVER about democratic gouvernment, and all about oil and pipelines.

    So of course it's hypocritical, just as Bush telling Russia that invading a sovereign country is not the done thing in the 21.st century is absolutely ridiculous


  2. He is a dictator but he is like Saddam we helped him because we had bigger fish to fry. Saddam was fighting against Iran we were helping Saddam. Iran was being supported by Russia, Saddam was being supported by the US. Same with Musharraf, he was helping us with the fight against Al-Qaeda we helped him so he would not be toppled. I see nothing wrong to use the enemy of my enemy as a friend. This keeps our causalities down, and I sure the left is always concerned about US causalities.
