Is ignoring your OCD a good idea? If not, why not?

  1. When I keep myself occupied (social interaction, school work, work, etc), I see that my OCD symptoms are non-existent. However, when I am bored and there is nothing to do, it comes on. So I try to find things to do when I'm bored, like watch tv or play computer games.  


  2. Yes. You have to "beat" it to make it better, and to make you feel better.

  4. NO! In most cases if you ignore it it intensifies until it takes over your entire life. Go see the movie Rainman.

  5. My father chooses to ignore his OCD and I ask myself everyday---why does he choose to suffer?
