Is inbreeding the reason most greyhounds die of cancer?

my first grey had to be put down at 11 yrs. due to bone cancer and i just lost my second one 8/22 of hemangiosarcoma which is cancer on the heart. I was told by a brilliant physician the reason for this is inbredding
