Is independent living causing more strain on natural resources?

I see that as the world has moved to nuclear families and even individuals living and having their own space it puts more pressure on the resources and causing a problem. I feel what we are seeing (price increase) is a result of that.

  1. I don't think it has anything to do with independent living.  It has to do with overpopulation worldwide and the US being soooooooo obsessed with making sure EVERYONE in the world live exactly like we do.  By creating a world of overpopulated middle class, resources are going to be taxed, and prices will continue to increase.  Just look at India and China.  They were poor, now they have a powerful middle class....they want more products.  Prices increase.

  2. i'll say yes...

i live in india n know how it happens...

i was in a joint family n now have a nuclear...n so i can easily differentiate between d two lives......

also since a person lives alone he would require almost equal fuel to cook food...he would travel alone using d same fuel with which a complete family was to traveln thr r many factos which can be sorted ...n i hope everyone would learn atleast some things to utilize d resources effectively....
