  3. In general spices are the essence of Indian cuisine. However, its not like that indian food is always spicy. For example, IDLI are not at all spicy and are eaten alongwith chutney which has a minimal spice level.

    And at the same time, all the indian snacks are generally preffered spicy.

    In my view, Indian food is good, rich and should be a bit spicy as per the person's delight

  4. Not all food stuff, there are some preparation which do not require any spicy ingredient. Some preparations which include Non Veg. varieties and  preparations specially from south India do require spices. With out spice these food items will not be as tasty as should be .
