  1. It never fails to amaze me just how holier-than-thou people in the USA & Britian get about their politicians getting caught with their pants around their ankles. I don't give a stuff what they get up to in their private lives, as long as it's legal and they aren't hurting anyone. We should be more like the French are with their politicians-they'd be surprised if a senator or MP WASN"T boning their secretary etc, but as long as he or she is doing a good job they don't care a jot.

  2. Is infidelity of a plumber, a minister, or a doctor a mark of hypocrisy? Infidelity spans all walks of life. I think it proves that he is a human being with weaknesses. While I don't condone what he did, I don't think what he does with his private life is my business unless it affects his ability to do his job.

  3. infidelity is the mark of a politician

  4. It's interesting how Republicans and their supporters are ready to rake Edwards over the hot coals over this--when neither really has a leg to stand on when it comes to things like 'infidelity' or 'hypocrisy':

    Mark Foley

    Larry Craig

    Jeff Ganon

  5. no it isn't hypocrisy unless the politician ran on a fidelity platform. It is however a sin.The life of any politician should be open to public scrutiny.Any public servant should answer to the people he serves.
