I think it could be an emotion.  If someone is accusing you of doing something you didn't do I think a feeling of innocence could be an emotion.  In general though, I don't believe it is an emotion.  I think it is more like a third party label or designation, as in guilt or innocence, or believing all children or animals are innocent.


  2. nope.  It's a state of being.  Kinda like being smart.  An emotion is something you feel - like joyous, envious, disappointed, elated.

  3. No.  It's a state of unawareness of certain aspects of a situation.  A lot of innocence is masking denial and is based on fear of reality.  Sometimes innocence indicates that the person has not been exposed to a lot of different situations or experiences.
