  1. Depends on what kind of censorship, as people seem to have a way of twisting the definition to support their cause. If you mean, say, a parent filtering their kid's internet access, or a company filtering their employees or a school their students, then that's perfectly fine, they are providing a service for a specific reason and it's well within their rights to enforce that reason. If you mean taking down sites which condone harassment, slander/libel, hate speech, illegal activity, etc, then yeah that's ok too since we have laws for that reason.

But if you mean, a government censoring sites for any non-illegal reason (ie. to promote any ideal of morals, rather than actual laws), such as banning all p**n, sites with swear words etc, then no that's not cool, as it's up to parents to do that just like in the real word.

  2. My answer to any question about censorship is: "Freedom, Practice It."  While our youngsters must be protected from "adult" content (p**n, extreme violence, predators), most of the internet censorship is political.  The concept of freedom must be spread everywhere.
