Beta products may not be stable and may cause your system to work slowly. Microsoft embeds many DLL files into the Operating System so even after you remove IE 8 Beta, your system may continue to act slower than normal.

Errr, yes. It comes with preinstalled with Vista and is available with XP via Windows Update.

It will not work on non-genuine Windows systems (for non-genuine users, IE8 beta 2 can be used instead).

yes, all internet explorers are free.  In fact almost all web browsers are free.  Web browser software hasnt been a profitable market since the early days of Netscape
