  1. The environmentalist has already changed the firing point ,to decrease the temperature ,which lost about 15% .

  2. only if you care about the planet, have a conscience and morals.  The cons in investing is the investment itself... do you actually need a clothes dryer when you can hang them out to dry?

living lightly is the quickest way to become energy efficient.

only if you value life more than money

  3. Not really because not a lot of people are going green so it would be a pointless investment. Also it would pay out that much. But like people have said if your an enviromentalist whose not scared to take a financial risk go ahead.

    Pros:300 pounds

    Cons:2,000,000,000.02613

    The cons broke the scale.

  4. what cons? for insulation, payback time will be well within the lifetime of the house.

for white goods, replace with high efficiency appliances when you are due a new one. not really worth it if you have fairly new stuff, but well worth it if you have, for example, a thin walled 70s fridge built in the days of cheap energy.

its just a matter of how much you can afford.

a lot of energy efficiency is just good housekeeping; turning stuff off, drying your washing outside, not leaving the kitchen door open for hours because you had your hands full and forgot to go back, throwing all the ancient bottles of pickles etc out of the main fridge so you can get the beers in there too and turn off the 'other' fridge, and generally thinking about it.

i could do you a domestic energy audit if we were on the same continent ;-)
