Is ipod touch 16 gb worth the money?

is the ipod touch 16 gb worth the money? the 8 gb isnt enough for me but the 32 isnt necessary. also rate 1/10, 1 being the worst.

Well I have the 8 gig and I definitely think it was worth the $300 I paid. There's a "app" store that just came out allowing you to buy third party applications meaning you can buy more applications such as games, toys, and tools. But if you don't want to dish out the $10 just for the 2.0 software + the $6 games you can always Jailbreak it and get most stuff you would find in the app store for free.

If I were to rate the iPod Touch alone I would give it a 9/10

Here are some pros and cons:

Pros:

- Internet (Need Wifi Access)

- Touch Screen

- Big Screen (for videos)

- Multiple Uses not just for music and videos.

- Google Maps (Satellite View)

- Alarm

- Email

- Weather

- Stocks

- Youtube

- Itunes

Cons:

- Need Wifi to access the Installer, Itunes, Youtube, and Safari

- The glass screen can scratch and crack (Mine hasnt though) but   this is unlikely  

- No internal Speakers (Like the iPhone)

- Like all iPod backs its VERY scratchable

The extra 8GB is worth the money (if you think $300 for 8GB is worth money).

If you can afford it, get the 16/32 GB. You'll pat yourself on the back later. 8GB is not enough for all songs and videos, you'll want to have. Also, apps take up a decent chunk of space, as well as contacts, mail, calendar, et cetera.

I'd recommend waiting for a while till Apple upgrades the ipod line (sometime in September, usually). The prices will probably come down, and some new feature(s) might come out.

But, yeah, go for the 16 GB. 32 is awesome, but just to high!

yea it probably is. BUT DONT GET ONE NOW. apple may be coming out with a new one sometime soon (a few months). that one will likely have more storage, for less money.

Personally I don't think so, I would wait a year or so until they have at least 30 or 60 gig for the same price (and they will) 16gb just wouldn't be enough for all my music.
