  1. Iraq has been a member of the United Nations since 1945. We are not, nor have we ever officially, been at war with Iraq. We have had military action against the government headed by former president Saddam Hussein twice. We are not at war with the current provisional government.

  2. yes Iraq is a member of the UN.

Iraq became a member on December 21, 1945.

  3. Yes Iraq is a member.  No you are not at war with Iraq.  UN Membership is irrelevant to conflict.  During the Iran - Iraq war, because of the alphabetic seating of members - the Iranian and Iraqi representatives were seated beside each other.  China, Korea and the US were members during the Korean war; Vietnam and the US during that conflict; The US and Russia used the UN to their mutual advantage during the cold war.  For better or worse - the UN, like a family or a company, is the sum of its parts and players.

  4. If you are confused about the issue of the attacks on Iraq, join the club.  When the government ordered the twin towers to be blasted, it was supposed to raise people's anger & make it reasonable for America to blame whomever the President said was to blame and then bomb them.  Bush never did give a straight answer for why America is killing those in Iraq.  NEVER.  But here is a clue:  Grampa Bush funded Hitler.  The Bush family makes a fortune from the sale of weapons and oil.  It is good business.  They don't care how many are killed.  It doesn't matter at ALL.  Often in a war both sides agree it's good for business and get funding from the same people.  This world is not for tender hearted people.  Everything we thought was safe....isn't.  We have bought a load of lies.

  5. yes there a nation so before hussein was there ambassador or someone of his friends

  6. Yes, they are because they are an internationally recognized  country and have applied for membership and accepted in the past.  We are not at war with Iraq and Iraq is an ally of the USA (although that will likely change once we have rebuilt them as they will need to sit on the fence between Iran and the USA).  We are in Iraq to prop up their government until they are strong enough to stand alone.  There are radical Islamacists that do not wish to see an Iraqi republic because they want Iraq as part of a caliphate.  We are fighting them.  There are war lords in Iraq that keep the government weak and therefore are prolonging our stay there so we are fighting them.  There are holdouts from the Iraq war of five years ago who want to see another Sunni dictatorship and deny the s**+'ites equality so we are fighting them.  Other Sunnis are helping us fight the international pan-Arabist invaders of Iraq such as Al-queda.  It is a mess but will be cleaned up given time for the benefit of the Iraqis and the world community.

  7. The question then is if Iraq could  join others to force an end to the war. It would  seem not. Suppose citizens could use the decision made at Nuremberg by an Allied War Crimes Tribunal about around the time of 1945about  the wars n**i Germany fought being War Crimes and so The UN could if it wanted to apply  similar on the U.S.A.  or any other country to end wars of Agression. UN Citzen  backed force might help end war. Guess this answer is going to recceive another violation from Yahoo which perhaps misiterpreted what was said a meaning   another part of History during the war . To be Clear War Crimes Trials At Nurmeberg. Judgment At Nuremberg that sort of thing but just The War Of Agression part not claiming  other countries say U.S. are that bad.
