  1. DRINK

  2. I moved to Ireland 15 yrs ago.  Lived here ever since, it is a lovely country although the crime rate has increased quite a lot since them.  Saying that, Ireland is a heck of a lot safer than a lot of other Countries. Just beware of "The Craic", "the ride", and "the Black Stuff", and if you do bump into any or all 3 of them grab on to them and dont let go !!!!

  3. I,ve been to Ireland, thoroughly enjoyed it.The people are great.

  4. Feck, No! All them Leprechauns and banshees and the like!

  5. Sure is, a beautiful country.

  6. It's as safe as anywhere else. Come on over and visit us. Just be warned, it's an expensive place.

Everyone can speak english, but with an accent. If you visit a gaeltacht area, (irish speaking community) don't worry, they'll realise straight away that you're a foreigner and talk your language

Oh yeah, and be careful of the drink. Our shorts are bigger than yours and our pints are generally a bit stronger.

Watch out for the banshee. Visitors are usually safe, but not always. She generally only goes after the o's and the Macs.

The leprachauns are getting very scarce. You hardly ever see them any more.

We aren't as backward or as stupid as you expect. I'll leave that for you to discover for yourself.

So failte go dti ar tir. Tog go bog e, agus bfheidir feicfidh me thu i teach tabhairne i bPort Lairge.

  7. ul get odd looks if ur refering it to Eire when ur in ireland! 8. It is now yes, the troubles are over, (check my 360) your very welcome, Ireland is my country,

  9. yeah but theres sum gangs there that are like the mafia so dont ware black mixed with orange

  10. If a Scottish Protestant Rangers supporter like me can have a good time in Eire then anybody can. Be nice to people because they will always be nice to you

  11. yes it's a nice place to visit the people are great they will make you feel welcome you will enjoy it . happy holiday

  12. Safer than it was at one time. The Irish people are very nice and friendly.

its a relatively safe country by day, by night it can change in cities... try to avoid being on ur own.

Nuair a mbeach tu anseo, ca rachaid uile?!?!?!

oh and yeah, its a nice country 2 visit!! seriously!!

  16. Ireland is safe, but just like anywhere, anything is possible, so use commom sense and don't walk down dark alleys at night and all that....

As for advice, don't just go to dublin.  Dublin is great, but get out to the countryside and visit small towns for a real taste of Ireland.  Go to the west coast and visit the cliffs of moher and the surrounding area.  There are also many great castles to see.  Search for castles in ireland on google and you'll see what I mean.  There's great stuff to see pretty much anywhere, just do lots of research and see what appeals to you the most!  You'll have fun in Ireland no matter what!

  17. Off course. The people are friendly, the food and drink is great and the music scene is superb. Check stuff out on the web and you will have a great time.

  18. Of course we will not bite you.  You will be made very welcomed.  The weather may not be in your favour, but apart from that you will have a good time.  We like to see visitors coming and we don't like to see them going.  Have fun and enjoy the crack.  For more information on Ireland why not google your search and get everything you need to know before coming so you don't feel out of place,  good luck.

  19. Yes! Of course you should be careful when your on vacation anywhere but I feel nothing but safe when I go to Ireland.

  20. As safe as anywhere else in western europe!

  21. Crime has increased hugely in last 5 years especially in Dublin and Limerick. However as countries go, it is a safe place to travel. Don't bring valuables if staying in hostels. Don't hitch hike. Always have a rain jacket with you. Be ready for a good time.

  22. Hello there,

Yes, miss, you will be very safe in my country, it is certainly a lot safer, than it was years ago, with all those troubles in the North of Ireland, in the south of the country you won't even hear a mention of what it was that was troubling the north, us people in the south are much more at ease with life and it wonders, especially at welcoming visitors both new and old. enjoy your visit, and please feel free to ask anyone in my country if they feel secure in everything they do in their own country and be assured of the same reply from almost all of them, yes of course we do, it would be a good idea to be a natural tourist though, and keep to your itinery, enjoy your visit and please come to see us as often as you can, we love strangers in Ireland after all, you are just a freind we have not met yet, and you truly are most welcome...Tony M

  23. If you are from the U.S. then Eire (please use its proper name) is even safer than walking your own streets.  If you are going to the North then take your Foreign Office's advisement but this also should be safer than walking your own streets.  It is certainly safer than the U.K. in any case.  Enjoy yourself, the hospitality of the lovely people and the beautiful country and cuisine.

  24. Yes, it's safe. Very nice, beautiful countryside.

  25. Dia Duit!!

I have lived in Ireland all my life and it is safe. But just like everywhere else anything can happen. Do not go out on your own at night. I hope you have a great trip.

                        Slan

  26. I had no trouble when I visited a few years ago.
