  1. Yes. Ireland has always been a rip off place  -  and this has not changed.

  2. WHY ? DO YOU WANT TO BUY IT. IT MIGHT COST HUNDREDS OF TRILLIONS OF EUROS.

  3. Well not sure about that...but it's a "Freckle Country" for sure ...lolllllllllllll

  4. Since the laste 90s and the  arrival of the Celtic Tiger the economy is booming and most prices are skyrocketing.

Average house (3bed) is 500K€ and cars are 30% more expensive than mainland Europe.

Inflation is still around 5% this year with no signs of slowing down.

So yes it is expensive to live here, but Irish people are way cool.

  5. YES. Everything is expensive when compared to other countries. Ireland is the fifth richest country in the world (at the last count anyway), property prices have gone through the roof (averaging €500,000 for  a house in the country, not mentioning Dublin) and eating out is very expensive, averaging €15 for a main course and a mineral.

  6. It depends what you consider 'expensive'.  I live in New York and it's pretty comparative in most respects.  Unless you want a manicure.  Then it'll cost you an arm and a leg (that's 5 fingers, 5 toes).

  7. I'm afraid so. We're being fleeced left, right and centre. Even basic commodities are about one third dearer than on the continent.

  8. Not too many people want to buy Ireland but i would say its expensive . I would offer them Five thousand and England can keep Northern Ireland

  9. Yes, it is very expensive

  10. Yes, it's very expensive.

A bus ticket for one direction in Dublin is 2 euros.

  11. Yes, pretty much. If you look up the scale of the richest countries in the world, Ireland is among the 5th!

  12. Yes. The economy in Ireland is currently in its perhaps, tenth year of boom. It is rated as the second or third richest country in the world per capita. Like anywhere, this has had a great effect on spending power of the euro in Ireland. More people have more money, things cost more. Especially land because there is only so much of it.  Be more specific. Are you trying to travel for a few months? Or buy a house? The former is feasible, the latter....hope yer a millionaire...:o)
