Is is a good idea to wear makeup?

i am chinese and i think that i have a pretty even skin tone. i am a freshman and i was wondering if i should wear makeup. if i do, i was thinking of something like foundation. but i don't know what to use. what do you think of loreal bare mineral foundation. cuz i want to use mineral foundation. and should i use eyeliner, i don't really see a difference.

Well most Asians have gorgeous skin! So I'd say the Loreal stuff because I've used it and it's natural yet has excellent coverage. I'd just wear mascara and some eyeshadow to match whatever you're wearing.

if your skin looks good, and you don't have any problems, then don't do it unless you want to.

about the eye liner, I don't wear any, but if you were to wear eye liner, pair it up with mascara. the two together will make you're eyes bigger, especially since you're chinese, it'll look good. :)

but anyways, if you're skin is good, skip out of the foundation ;p

You probably don't need foundation if you have nice skin.

Makeup is never supposed to hide your face, it's only meant to enhance your features. Wear what you feel comfortable with, whether it makes your eyes stand out more or your lips, but never overdo it or put on more than necessary.

i think that if you feel you need makeup, then you should use lite makeup ONLY to enhance your natural beauty. Do not use tons of eye liner, mascara, or eyeshadow. Use it sparingly. And don't put a whole lot of base on either. Less is more.

If you wnat a mineral foundations, you should try mineral wear. They sell it at target for like 10 dollars and its really good. I have also tried the loreal and I think the mineral wear is better. Also if you dont see a difference I wouldn't use it. Sometimes you should try a liquid eyeliner. (made by almay also sold at target) On some eyes it makes them pop, even without a lot of eyeliner on. I used just a thin line on the bottom. Also you could try some eyeshadow. It depends what color your eyes are, but you might try some golds to make your eyes pop. You dont have to use a lot. Makeup looks different on everyone and just takes practice.  Just be aware that people who don't wear makeup have less breakouts, and their skin stays healthier longer and has less wrinkles when they get older.  Eventually you will be wearing makeup anyway in the working world - I would experiment with colors just for fun now while you're young.

Hey! Well if u don't need it don;t! LOL....but if you want to just to freshen up ur look or somthing i would try yes the mineral stuff............ and maybe a lil blush ( for some color on ur face) then a good light eye shadow thats nuetral and look good with ur eyes...if u want mascara..but its not always needed!

I dont think you should use foundation

I really hate it because it makes a person look fake if it their skin looks perfect

    Yes,  ur choices sound great!! As far as eyeliner, not sure, cuz, if u have nice dark bl hair, then you probley don't need it or very little. just go with the foundation.

Heyy! I'm Chinese too! I use Loreal Bare Mineral Foundation just to cover-up some blemishes. Try using some mascara. Because of the shape of our eyes we look really good with a touch of mascara. I don't really think eyeliner is necessary but if you want to go ahead.

Wearing makeup (or any kind of color) should naturally enhance your features- not cover them up.  If you want to wear makeup, keep it simple.  Wearing too much makeup is never flattering, even if you're trying to cover up blemishes, etc.  You can achieve a natural look with minimal products.  It is possible.  Use a light foundation (tinted moisturizer is good too), a bit of mascara, and some lip gloss.  A fresh pink works on most skin tones and brightens up anyone's complexion without looking overdone.  Remember too, less is more.

if you have an even skin tone, then foundation is an unnecessary hassle. if you want to just use a little bit of makeup but still maintain a natural look, try a neutral colored eye shadow, and neutrogena clean lash tint. it's like mascara, but doesn't make your eye lashes feel as heavy. i always use eyeliner because my eyes disappear into my face without it, but if your eyes are defined enough (and if you can't see a difference when you use it then they probably are) you don't need it. and just use a tiny amount of concealer in spots where you need it. =)

You should use what ever you feel comfortable. If you don't know what goes with your skin complexion you can always ask at any retail store or even online makeup companies like MAC or Cover Girl have online tips. I think a little bit of blush and Eyeliner will suit you best!

if you like the way that you look in make-up, then go for it. but if you really cant tell the difference between your natural look & your 'made-up' look, then why bother spending the time and money? if your going to use foundation or powders, definitely go with the more natural stuff. its much healthier for your skin. bare mineral foundation is a good choice. also check out some of the stuff by neutrogena, they have some really great products that aren't too expensive. but if your happy the way you look without make-up, then like i said, dont bother wasting the time or money. and if you just want make-up for a little change in your appearance, try some mascara or lipgloss maybe? just remember not to over-do the cosmetics, because everybody has natural beauty, and you dont want to hide it under ten pounds of powder :D

Sorry but to each their own, Men can't tell you what they like its all about you. IF you think that you need a little cover up, light makup, then do it!!! I think that if you feel comfortable, just put on light eyeliner, and a little mascara too. It doesn't look much different from your natural look if its done right

You have a pretty skin tone so opine you just use toner to clean and daily used of sunblock is sufficient.

Using foundation will block most of the pores and not too good for you.

As you are young you have the natural radiant beauty so don't ever overpiant otherwise you looked too matured.

i would use a colored eye liner to enhance your eyes, you probably have brown eyes so go with purple eyeliner, not light but not dark either, little shadow and some lip gloss, but if you have an even skin tone i wouldn't wear foundation.
