Is is normal that my 6 month old is pooping almost 6 times a day now that he's on solids?

Prior to starting solids, he would poo probably once every other day. Now that he's eating food, it seems like almost everytime I change him I'm finding little surprises in the diaper! They range in size, color, smell, etc. but they are never runny or small pellets. It just seems like the food is literally going right through him! Is this normal?

Seems like it is just the normal adjustment to starting solids to me.  I bet you notice the smell is waaaaay worse too huh?

his little body is adjusting to solids. it will take a while for his body to learn how to digest food properly.

Sounds normal to me.  I'm assuming you will be taking him to his 6 month Well Baby check up soon, so I would ask the pediatrician about this.

Oh I feel ya! Lol. My son did that for at least a month when I switched him to solids. I definately went through some diapers and wipies! You might want to get some diaper rash cream because he will probably get a rash from pooping so much like my son. Good luck!

maybe he's not digesting the type of food given to him
