Is is ok to have week old puppies around cats?

So, my puppies are 1 week old, and I was just wondering if it's ok that they're around cats. I'm not worried that the cats are going to hurt them or anything, but my boyfriend said that they shouldn't even be around them because of their dadner or something. Is this true? Thanks!

keep em away from cats until they're not cat food with is about 4 months or more seriously they can be cat food at they're age

As long as the cats and puppies seem to be getting along, they should be fine around each other.  The mother dog will probably keep the cats from getting too close to the pups, and just being in the same room as the cats shouldn't cause any problems.

I would consider it a major bonus to have a puppy that was raised in a house with cats, as it would be less likely to be startled by my cats.
