I want to buy an m4a3 but was wondering if i could put a scope on it. I know you can take off the carry handle, but can you put a scope where the carry handle is? Also, if you can scope it, is the front sight post to high to see over?

  1. Yes you can, and the front sight post will not bother you.   It is not visible because it is so close.

  2. All the above is true - however - if you shoot it allot at the range you will grow tired of the front tower's blur.  If you use the rifle for varmint hunting it will give you a false sense of motion/movement where none exists and will make you mad allot.

I build match AR's.  Removing that front tower and adding a railed gas block is pretty darn easy...... unless your muzzle brake is soldered on or something weird like that.  You can then buy a fold down front sight to attache to the block for times when you need the tower back.

    Hope this helps.

  3. Yes you can scope it. The front sight post will be slightly visible with a 4X scope but wont be bothersome. The more magnification the less visible it will be. Less magnification more visible. Distance from the front of the scope to the sight will make a difference also.
