Is is really possible contacting ghosts/spirits? If so, how?

my house isnt haunted or anything like that. but i had this sudden erge to contact george harrison or john lennon. like it was like i need to talk to them or something like that. i dont know if its possible, could i do it? anything i need if so?

If you just concentrate on contacting one of them before you go to sleep at night, sometimes you can contact them in your dreams.  Some may say it's just a dream, but there is literature out there that suggests it is much much more; actual contact.  I think that is your best shot at it assuming their spirit isn't anywhere near you.

My aunt goes to physics and she says she contacts people there. But you could always hold a seance with friends.

It would not be likely that you would be able to contact a celebrity, or any spirit of a person who did not know you when he/she was alive and that has no ties to you or your family.  

It is our loved ones, family and friends who have gone before us, and our ancestors, that are still connected to us from beyond the veil.

I would advise against using a spirit board or holding a seance to contact spirits for fun.  If you really feel the need to attempt this, then please take some time and really research these methods well, to learn what you're doing and how to do it safely before trying it.  You don't want to get yourself stuck with one or more spirits on your hands that you can't get rid of.

You COULD do it, but I can't wholeheartedly advise it. Communication with the dead is one activity that can have some of the most dangerous backlashes. It can invite evil spirits to make your house haunted, or worse, haunt you specifically. There is information on how to do such communications safely, but I do not advise trying it. This is a very risky spiritual activity. I'd steer clear if I were you. If you still want to, do a google search on it. And may God be watching over you.

Don't follow that urge. Trying to contact ghosts and spirits can be very dangerous. What happens is that demons sometimes come in the form of people who have died in order to trick and deceive people into dabbling in the occult. Demons are very evil and shouldn't be messed with at all (By the way ghosts don't exist at all but demons do)
