  1. After many years of working with motorcycle dealers all over the United States, I found that the nicest and most polite were from the south.   This is my personal experience  over time so I would say that I am impressed by their hospitality.

  2. Yeppers  !!!!!! In the south we believe in sharing and feeding and making quests very welcome.  At least a few years ago we did.  I don't know about now with all the rapes and killings and muggings going on.  I think peope are afraid to show kindness or help their neighbor as much.  It's really too bad because they are nice folks there.  I can go home and to this day anyone that goes by the house throws up a hand and says hello.  I do the same, even though I moved away years ago and don't remember most of them.

  3. Born, raised, and still living in the South, I have to say that I've taken southern hospitality for granted for most of my life.  In the South, we know our neighbors and the Welcome Wagon still exists in many communities.

I really appreciate southern hospitality when I go to a city like NYC where a simple thing like  finding a restroom that is open to the public becomes a half day event.  One must be an insider or must go online to figure out where the two or three public restrooms in the city are located.  In the South, the bathrooms are near an entrance at every fast food restaurant.  In NYC, you must first purchase something and then they will reluctantly give you instructions as to how many flights of stairs and twists and turns you must make to find the hidden restrooms.  Gas stations in the South have big signs that say "Clean Restrooms" while in NYC, they  say "No Restrooms" or "Restrooms Out of Order."  About half the restrooms in NYC have "Out of Order" signs on them.  They aren't really out of order, but no one bothers to tell even the customers that.

  4. Yes, Southern hospitals are great!

  5. .This is so true. Southerners are very charming, warm. and welcoming. I can't imagine living any where else but in the  south. Always a Southerner,    Poppy

  6. yes it is true!!!

  7. Not that I ever noticed. Maybe to each other. Being from the Northwest, all them southern good ole boys still thought they wanted to fight the civil war until they found out they still couldn't win. The Northwest wasn't even in their damned war.
