Is is true you can take one teaspoon of BAKING SODA in water to treat a UTI? Are there any side effects?

  1. No... that would probably do the exact opposite, actually. Baking Soda in water can help with indigestion or heartburn because it's an alkalizing product.... to fight a UTI, you would need more acidic urine.

    If you are looking for a natural approach to fight a UTI, your best bet would be a good amount of Cranberry, D-Mannose, Juniper Berry, Corn Silk, Uva Ursi, and/or most of the B vitamins. Good luck!


  2. I have eliminated my UTIs by using oregano oil tablets--I haven't used them for a few months and I got a twinge a few weeks ago.  A few doses and it was gone!  

    This stuff is great for that and just about any mild infection--used for 5000 years in the mediterranean.  The only side effect is the occasional oregano burp--not so bad!
