Is it 'too much' to use only tampons on your second period?

I'm only on my second period, and was wondering if I could use only tampons [i hate pads...], or if it would be too much, considering I've only had my period once before this... ?

Thanks!

  1. The whole idea of Tampon vs. pad is something that you decide based on comfort.  Some people do a mixture of 2 (a tampon with a pantyliner).  Whether it's your second period or your 2000th, it doesn't matter.

You do need to pay attention though to the absorbancy of the tampon.  You can't just pick one and have it work well throughout your entire period.  If you are having a light flow then you need to use a light absorbancy.  In the afternoon, your flow might change to heavy, then you use a regular absorbancy and change it more frequently or get a heavy absorbancy.

DO NOT LEAVE THEM IN ALL DAY!  It's not good for your body and will put you at risk for bleeding through your pants if your flow changes!  This is where you need to change it at least once during the day and then again in the evening before bed.

  2. You can use whatever suits you.  Be aware that most girls take a few times to get the tampon in properly, it isnt always as easy as you think it will be.  You can wear Tampons all day but it is a good idea to change to a fresh one halfway through the day.  A panty liner will take care of any leaks you may experience.

  3. its all up to you if you feel more comfortable with tampons the use them just make sure you cant feel it while its in and it doesn't hurt while your inserting it and change it evert 3 to 4 hours good luckx
