  1. No more annoying than the fact that some (MOST, where I live) servers don't have a clue what their job description is.........

  2. no. it's none of your business who decides to tip or not

  3. Tipping is optional.  It is not the customers duty to pay your bills.  If you dont recieve enough money with your hourly salary, then find a new job. I can barely afford to put gas in my car, so dont get upset if I cant afford to throw down an extra 5 bucks for your salary.

  4. YES. It's especially annoying when those people go out to eat with you and you end up picking up for their part of the tip.

I am a fairly decent tipper. My ex-husband was a standard $2/meal man, even if we spent $60 on the bill. It drove me NUTS. I would always leave extra cash after he left the table.

Edit: Snarf, if you can't afford to put gas in your car or tip, DONT EAT OUT?

It's called manners. Apparently none of your parents taught you any. Go ahead and keep giving me thumbsdown. I know better than to eat out if I can't afford to give a good waitress a good tip.

  5. No.Because most customers will. For the person who said don't eat out if you can't tip also. That is just stupid should I be starving because I don't add to your salary?Service workers deserve thier tips mostly,it is a good thing when you can but for it to be mandatory no,that depends on the amount of service you get.Been on both sides of the question.

  6. no.

  7. I only DON'T tip if the service was miserable, but I base the ammount of my tip on the service.  I don't believe that I should have to pay a certain percentage of the meal to the server.  I've been a server.  Tips are EXTRA to the person eating the meal, so if I wanted a big one, I worked my buns off!  I expect the same when I sit down to eat.  I'm there for service (that's why I didn't just stay home!), and they are in a "service job".

The tricky thing here, is that most servers are only paid about $3/hour, so to ME that means that they'd better WANT that job bad enough to work hard for the money.

  8. no its their choice
