  1. It is cheaper to build it yourself as long as you have someone who knows how to build one and will cut and measure everything right ....... = )

  2. Cheaper to build.  You can even buy shed "kits" with plans etc. from The Home Depot or Lowes which include lumber and necessary hardware.

The kit usually includes some pretty expensive doors, so to totally do it yourself would be the least expensive, and you could fashion your own door design for the main entrance.

  3. It depends on your ability to build it right, and what your time is worth.   These sheds are built on "jigs", where wood is tossed in and nailed unbelievably fast, that's how the sheds are cheaper than doing it yourself.

But when you do it yourself, (if you build it right) you'll end up with a nice shed, built to just the size you need, with your own decorative tastes and details.  And the quality will be better than the store bought one, not to mention that sense of accomplishment you'll end up with.

  4. Sorry, not an answer here, but some things to think about if you want to expand your question:

It depends upon the quality of the shed you want, if you need a standard or non-standard size, your skill with tools, and how you value your time.
