My sister insists that it is healthy to chew blown out matches. I am not sure if she is right. It scares me when she lights a match, blows it out, and then chews on it. Please don't answer this unless you are positive of the answer you give. And also give rreasons why or why not.

  1. Um no it's not healthy. Let's see, she could burn her mouth. She could accidentally swallow it or anything. Why on earth would it be healthy? Would it be healthy to light your mouth on fire too? ask her that question.

  2. charcoal is a natural antacid and used by survivalists when no modern medications are available, so chewing on matches will probably not kill you.  the ash can also be used as a basic toothpase.

that being said, it is still gross!!

  3. if she wants to be healthy, she could think of a lot more things that are more obvious..............................cyc... eating her greens etc.I guess burnt matchesare ok if she likes them;anyway, if shes not bothered ,does it matter?

  4. It's fine as long as you don't chase it with hard liquor.  Otherwise, KABLOOEY!

  5. That is a symptom of something bad. Eating match heads is called Cautopyreiophagia, and it can kill someone.

It is a symptom of PICA. You NEED to get her to a doctor.

  6. Ew gross probably not.

there was a girl on tv lastnight

that liked eating cigarette ashes. How disgusting.

why would you want to do that??
