It is very bright star that rises each day from east and crosses the sky to set in west. Traveling along Constellation Sagittarius. I live in Hyderabad Pakistan (25°22′45″N 68°22′06″E). I look at it with Naked Eyes.

  1. Yes, that's Jupiter. It was known to the ancients, and *they* certainly didn't have telescopes. Why do people think this is unusual? It's Jupiter and it's bright. This is why the ancient Greeks named it after the king of their gods.

  2. Yes, that would happen to be Jupiter.  It's Magnitude

(brightness) is -2.8, making it the third brightest thing our sky, right behind the Moon and Venus.  Even cooler would be if you had a telescope, even a small one will work, so you can see it's clouds and moons.

This is a picture of Jupiter over India, and I think it's pretty close to Pakistan.
