Is it Legal to have a Pet squirrel in the state of Virginia?

A lot of pups here are orphaned due to traffic. I feel bad not caring for them. I do have a lot of rodent care experience.

squirrels are wild creatures let them stay wild you cant really domesticate them. and its against the law.

it is against the law for you to be in possession of wildlife.  i don't know where you are in virginia but you can call the wildlife rescue league to turn the squirrel over to a rehabber.  thank you for caring.
