Is it Murray or Tomas for today’s match?

Andy Murray surely seems to be the favourite to win today’s match against Tomas Berdych. However stepping up to the next round won’t be an easy task for either player. The sort of surface they had to play suits Berdych and his style of play. Fans all around the world are expecting a great encounter between both the players. The results of the match will be almost impossible to predict in just three sets of the game. With impressive serves, both the players are performing at their peak. Obviously, expecting a lot of breaks for today’s match won’t be the case. Rather, towards the end of first ten games or so, the result will be somewhat decided.

Murray who won a match earlier in the tournament against Gasquet in the first round has met much tougher players so far including Chela as well as Baghdatis. On the contrary, Tomas Berdych has so far beaten Aguilar, Roger-Vasselin and Isner with himself being undefeated in a single set.  In spite of the fact that he has faced easy opponents as compared to Murray but still his show of energy in every single match of the tournament so far has been extraordinary. Even if the match today ends up with a defeat to Berdych, it’s definitely going to be a close one beyond any doubt. The crowds would be expecting a big drama with at least one set to his name for sure.

Murray found his good form back at the Roland Garros just in time when it was needed the most. Prior to that, he seemed to struggle with his poor form. Gaining momentum at just the correct time is the quality of great players and he is surely one of them while Berdych who has his career best performances on clay also looks like a favourite to win from all angles. Overall, it would definitely be a heart breaking match to watch. Both the players will have to perform at their very best in order to reach the quarter final of the French Open Tournament 2010. In the quarter finals, the players will meet Tsonga/Youzhny. Every single set of today’s match is going to be an exciting one.

Murray no doubt is a high quality player however he is not looking completely comfortable at the moment. In order to win, his attitude must reflect as if he is nearly unstoppable. He should also be very careful in giving away his sets.

Murray in his recent match also had a tough time. Berdych who defeated John Isner on Friday looked exceptional. The victory was an impressive achievement on his part. It is going to be a thrilling show today. Both the players are very well balanced with regard to their talent and quality of playing so the match could be won by either of the two.
